House Building Day 1 (Hausaufbau Tag 1)

Today at 7:15am hubby and I were already on the building site. At around 8am the first wall was already fixed.

At around 3 pm, the house is almost done.

We were also able to get inside around late this afternoon. It was such a nice feeling to be inside :) There's a lot of work waiting for us now, but I bet it's all worth it.

We thanked God for the nice warm weather during the first day of building our dream house. Here's more pictures...

Basement Light Well Installation

Since filling-up the pit already started, we now need to install the basement light well. Yesterday, hubby arrived around 7pm, raining and is already dark. It is already Fall season, the days are getting shorter. Hubby still went to the building site and measured the place for the light well.

Today we were all awake at 6:30am. When we mentioned "all", that means including the kiddos. I was planning to help hubby on the building site, but Grandpa was faster, and therefore, I stayed. They both installed the two light wells.

Filling-up the Pit

In the afternoon, I went to the building site and it looks totally different. I suddenly felt the excitement. On the front side, the pit is already 3/4 filled-up. I just miss seeing the Opti-Control Schacht in every corner. I hope it is not too late to tell them that we should have that.

Update: Today (18.10.13) the two out of three light wells were installed, and the pit is filled-up. It is not yet fully filled-up, bcoz they will finish it after the house is build. This is how it looks now...

Control Manholes and Drainage

Yesterday our Soil Excavation Company - Hainmüller, worked on the control manholes. Today, though the weather is not good (bcoz it is raining most of the time), they still decided to continue working on the Drainage. They also planned to start filling-up the pit.
