One Year in our very own House!

Today is the first year we are living in our very own house. It feels like it was just few months ago =)

For recap, it took us three long years to be able to finish our house. It was a hard three years of our life ;) We had a lot of trials on the way. But as they say, no pain no gain. And here we are now, enjoying our first year in our very own home.

This coming Spring and Summer, hopefully we will be able to beautify our garden and surroundings. I wish to see green grass and flowers everywhere. I also wish that we will be able to have curtains, wall tattoo, more indoor plants and just make this house more "us". Oh... and on the top of my wish list is my laundry room. I wish and hope that it will be finish this Spring. I love doing the laundry... but the past year was for me a dissaster. 

Welcome 2017... Happy New Year!

It is our first New Year in our house. It feels good! Really good =) It is funny though, that we were the only ones who started fireworks in our street ha ha ha... but we enjoy it anyway, specially the kids and the kids at heart :) It was so wonderful to stare at my husband and sons having fun on this moment. After done with our fireworks, we stayed a lil bit longer outside and watched the other fireworks on the air. It was just magically wonderful. The fireworks, standing infront of our very own house, being together and having this moment. We thank you Almighty God for this gift. Gift of Family, Love, Health and Time.

First Holiday Season in our own House =)

I thought this day will not arrive anymore, but I was wrong. It is indeed true that everything happens on the right time.

A lot had happened this year and I am very grateful about it. Most of the things were unexpected yet I would say.... it is a blessing in disguise.

We bought our evergreen tree (mostly known as Christmas Tree) during middle of December. We were happy to be able to find a wonderful tree on its best price. Our kids had fun decorating it and were exited for the gifts under the tree.

WE FINALLY MOVED-IN!!!

One Weekend, hubby suggested that our whole family should sleep already in our house. Most of our needed things were there, like clothes, sanitary things and the beds are ready. We just need to go to the supermarket to buy fresh foods. When we arrived home, I made dinner. WOW! It feels good. I am cooking in my very own KITCHEN. We ate together in our good old Dinning Table. It was a good feeling. Then hubby started the fireplace. The four of us were just sitting at the sofa and watching the fire in the fireplace. 

Our kids were so excited. They thought we are just on vacation =)

After that day, I do not want to go away anymore. I AM HOME. I feel wonderful living inside our family dream house, with my very own family.

I thank Almighty God for giving me the chance to experience this. It was a long time Project that I really do not know when will it be over. Life is short and no one ones when his/her time is up. One great reason why I am so happy to ever be inside our family house.

ADDRESS CHANGED... AND YET STILL NOT MOVED-IN

We were able to change our address at the City Hall last Week. We are "in paper" already moved-in. UNFORTUNATELY, we are still not moved-in. WHY? I don't know and I DO NOT WANT TO TALK ABOUT IT ANYMORE.

The situation is getting into my nerves. I cannot understand why is it so hard to just moved-in to our house. It is finished and everything is ready... except the washingarea and basement. It can be done when we are already there.

Moving-in NOT

It was just a simple talk. And we ended-up to a date. "We will move-in on March 6".

My heart was beating so hard. I feel happy. The electricity and water is working since 2 years ago. Now the house is finished. The Kitchen is installed. The heating system and the fireplace is working good. There is internet connection in the house. At last, we will move-in...

NOT!

Again a very devastating feeling of being depressed. When will it ever ends. Moving-in to our very own house is like wishing to have a star from the sky to fall on my palm. Moving-in is suposedly not impossible. But on our end, the more it is coming to an end, the more it is becoming impossible. I lost the excitement of being in my very own dream house. I lost that feeling of joy. I lost the happiness. If that day will ever come, I DO NOT KNOW. I just feel so negative right now.

Kitchen is Ready!

I cut and put the white sheet from Ikea to protect the Kitchen from scratches and dirt. I find it good specially for the pots and pans. I always dream to have a Spic and Span Kitchen. I cannot wait to use my very own Kitchen... very soon.

Assembling IKEA Wardrobe

Hubby and I started to assemble our Ikea wardrobe. After assembling the first part, we thought... OMG it is too high :) But after finishing all three, we thought, it looks fine. We need a lot of storage for Winter things anyway.

I am excited to see the finish product.

Double Door is Installed

Our double door is at last installed. We received our double door last year. Unfortunately, there was a mistake on the measurement. We received a smaller one. It then took another 4-6 weeks of waiting until we received the right one.

Atlast today it was installed. Our house looks so beautiful ;)

Our Counter is Here!

After 6 weeks and 4 days the other part of our kitchen is being delivered. I thought it is now time for me to really be happy. Then UNFORTUNATELY, one niche is AGAIN wrongly ordered. I cannot believe it. I have patience for the first mistake. But TWICE? Are you kidding me? It was frustrating. That means, we need to AGAIN and AGAIN wait for another 4 weeks. I will never order a Kitchen from Sommerlad EVER. To think, they installed a wrong dishwasher. It was not the one we saw or atleast the Sales Person did show us. He said we will receive that kind of dishwasher. But it was not the same. I do not want to destroy the nicely build Kitchen now. But it is for me a really poor Customer Service.

The next delivery schedule for the missing niche will be on the second week of March. Can you imagine that? We bought the Kitchen last October 2015. We had the delivery schedule last middle of December 2015. And it MAYBE finished middle of March 2016. That means... we bought a kitchen which was finally finished in 5 months. That is the WORST Kitchen Customer Service I have ever heard and experienced.

STILL NOT IN!

Goodbye 2015. You were hopeful but not goal reaching. Welcome 2016... be realistic.

WE ARE STILL NOT IN. It has been 2 years and 3 months now. Most of the building works inside the house were done by my husband, and I (as a helper). It was not easy. We saved money but we spend a lot of our precious time. TIME that you cannot take back. It is very frustrating. It is getting more frustrating because the house is already finish and yet... we are still not IN. If I am being asked, "should someone build the house on his/her own or let a company finish it for them" --- my answer will be --- LET THE COMPANY FINISH IT FOR THEM! They will be finish in maximum of 6 months. You may not be saving a lot of money in that way, but you are saving a lot of your precious time. As we all know, TIME when spent, cannot be taken back. 

There are a lot of things that people consider before building a house. Number one is money. Number two is time. Decide wisely and follow your heart.

It takes hands to build a house, but only heart can build a home.

Bathroom Tiles is Atlast Finished.

Another milestone. Our bathroom tiles is at last finished. It took a lot of time for this one to be accomplished though we have someone to do it for us. The time just did not meet.

Kitchen is Here.

November... I so happy to receive the confirmation that our kitchen will be delivered in the middle of December. I cannot wait for that day. I thought... "Maybe we will move-in before the year ends". Let us see.

During the kitchen delivery and installation, I was not there. I was at work. But hubby was there and was able to check that everything will be fine.

The kitchen delivery and installation took a day and a half. It was nice to see that the kitchen is there. I was so happy. Too bad that the happiness is too short. On the second day, they said that there is a mistake on the ordered parts of the kitchen. They were not able to order our counter. And it will took 4-6 weeks before they will be able to deliver and install it.

WE ARE STILL NOT MOVING IN THIS YEAR =( Frustrations Overflow

I have been struggling about this feeling for the last three Xmas years (2013, 2014 and now 2015). Ok... 2013 is very impossible to move-in since the house is only three months old and everything is still a skeleton debris. But, I was hoping and wishing that it will be last year (2014). But still it did not happen. I thought, it will be very possible for us to move-in before the year 2015 ends. But I was wrong.

The longest time spent in building the same type of house, from the same building company was 2 years and 7 months.

I am totally frustrated about this house building. I'm depressed to think about moving-in anytime or sometime soon.

MY KITCHEN will be delivered this coming Wednesday. MY VERY OWN KITCHEN. The place where I can be myself. It is soooo sad that I cannot cook there yet. I need to wait for that time, WHEN WE WILL EVER MOVE-IN to this house.

I wanna see and visit my family back home soon.

Floorings in our Living and Dinning Room Finished

This is a very big leap of faith for us. Our house's floorings for the whole ground floor is now finished. At last! Our house looks really like a house minus the furnitures and decorations :)

Bathroom Floorings Started

We are hoping that before the kitchen arrives, our bathroom is already finished with floorings. This is just the start of it...

Our Kitchen is Almost Ready

Kitchen is the heart of the house. When it is installed, theoretically the Family can move in. It took sometime for us to decide about how we want our kitchen to be. I am happy to say that at this point, we are almost there.

The Floorings for our Fireplace is Finished.

Floorings for our fireplace is finally finished. Now we are really for the delivery and installation of the floorings in our Dinning and Living area.

Guest's WC is finally Finished.

House building is almost on its end point. Our Guest's WC is done.

Floorings in Bedrooms

Hubby started to install the floorings in our bedroom and started at our first born's bedroom. We are waiting until our youngest son's room is empty before hubby can continue and/or finish it.

Hubby started one of our kids' room...
