Toom Rafflemarkt (Toom Selbermacher)

Today I read and saw the pictures and videos of the first winner of 10,000 Euro project support in the form of goods from Toom Markt. My heart felt sad. I was hoping that we will get the chance for it.

We have been working for our family dream house "on our own" for the last 1 year and 8 months now. My ultimate dream is to move-in this year 2015. I keep on dreaming. At the moment, I am sick and was not able to help at the building site for some time. For the past weeks, hubby needs to work long hours. Good that hubby's dad was there to do some sanding in our bathroom.

OUR BATHROOM!!! My wish for Toom Markt *sigh*

There are a lot of things that still need to be done. The thought of moving-in is also mooooooving away.

Kera Door Repair c/o ProHaus (Keratür Reparatur beim ProHaus)

We have a schedule visit from ProHaus because of our main door. We already mentioned about this problem last year, but we only receive a reply that they will forward our concern to Keratür (the company who built the door). For the past months, we let the time go and did not follow-up on this issue until the past two weeks. ProHaus replied that their service people will visit us and repair our door.

We also have issues with our windows. And since it is from ProHaus (Gussek Fenstern), we expected that they will address and repair it too.

The ProHaus service person arrived 15 minutes late. He worked for two hours. He fixed our main door, changed the silicon rubber on the side of the door with a new one. He check and set all the windows on its right position. He do sanding on one of our Terrace windows and painted it. The weather was not good. It was raining. But the paint was able to dry fast. Everything went well with this visit. Almost perfect, except that hubby was not around. He needs to work.

Floor Polishing

One of the worker from A&D Estrichbau arrived to polish our floor. There were some parts of the floor screed that is not perfectly in the right level, thus they need to visit us again and make it ready for the floor tiles.

The job took 6 hours to finish. The most of the time were done on the door area.

We are glad that this part is already accomplished.

Cleaning...

Tonight hubby and I cleaned-up at the building site. This is the preparation for the scheduled visit of the floor screed company. They need to even-out the parts that are not perfect. And they need to make sure that our floor tiles will fit on the door and terrace doors area.

Cleaning the Windows

Since the weather here is too dry, I unfortunately started to have polen or whatever allergie :( That was really so weird because in my entire life I am very sure I do not have allergies. Then I visited the doctor and it is confirmed an allergie. Sad thing is...that means I cannot help my husband and his dad to sand the walls and the ceilings at the building site, since I am also reacting on dust or small particles in the air.

On the other hand, I found another way to help. I cleaned-up all the windows in our house. I know it is impractical to do that now that hubby and his dad are sanding the walls and ceilings. But.... we also have a scheduled visit from ProHaus Customer Service next week. They need to check our house door and all the windows' settings in our house.

Sanding the Ceiling at the Ground Floor Area (Schleifen, schleifen, schleifen)

Today hubby continued sanding the ceiling at the ground floor area of our house. We bought the Drywall Power Sander from Timbertech. It was a good buy and really helps a lot, specially for ceiling and higher area like our gallery.

While hubby was working, I was able to take a pic of him in our kitchen area :)

Toom Markt Raffle (Toom Markt Gewinnspiel)

Today I joined online the Toom Markt Raffle Draw (Building Supplies / Hardware Store Raffle Draw). They are searching for creative people who wants to accomplish their projects at home, and the winner will be receiving 10,000 Euro project support in the form of goods (Toom Baumarkt voucher).

When I saw this, I first thought of our Bathroom. I really would love to move-in to our dream house this year. There are still a lot of things needed to be done. But atleast when the bathroom is finished, I can breathe. That means, it is indeed possible to reach our goal soon. I hope, wish and dream that it will really happen. Wish me luck!

Smooth-over on the Walls and Ceilings (Spachteln, Spachteln, Spachteln)

Today hubby and I continued to do smoothing-over the ceilings of our house. I worked at the Kitchen ceiling while he worked at the Office Room. The second floor is actually finished, but there are some parts that needed to be worked-on. After the floor screed application, there are some parts that were broken :(
