Heating System Installation Part 1 (Heizungsinstallation Teil 1)

Our heating system specialist and his helpers arrived at 9:15 am at the building site. They started the set-up / installation of our heating system. They worked til 4pm.

Laying the Copper Pipe Part 2 (Kupferrohr verlegen Teil 2)

We layed the second copper pipe for our solar collector.

Since this work needs at least three people eventhough it's Sunday, FIL went to the building site and helped us.

Vapor Retarder Installation Room 2-2 (Dampfbremse anbringen Zimmer 2-2)

Yesterday night hubby and I worked on the building site and tried to continue the vapor retarder installation in the Children's Room 2. This time at last one room is done :)

This morning, I finished adding the tape. This is important because as per se' holes should all be closed in order to avoid future problems. I hope that we will be able to do the rest of the rooms in the next days or at least this weekend.

Cement Casting for our Solar Cylinder (Betonsockel Giessen für Solarspeicher)

After hubby's work, he and FIL fetched bags of cements from the nearest building supplies store and started the work on casting the cement for our solar cylinder.

They first applied the black foil that protects the floor from moisture and future possible damage.

Laying the Copper Pipe Part 1 (Kupferrohr verlegen Teil 1)

The three of us (FIL, hubby and I) went to the building site today to lay the copper pipe for our solar collector. This can easily be bent and destroyed, therefore, we need to lay it with extra care. We lay it from the attic until the basement. We also put the protection for the copper pipe.

The heating specialist will do the installation hopefully in a week or two. We need to meet him on Monday for the plan. We prepared the copper pipe, so the heating installation process will not waste any time, it will be less work needed for the specialist and less costs on our end :)

Joints Fan for Bricks (Fugenlüfter)

We put the joints fan for our bricks.

During the brick installation, there were holes specially made for the bricks to have possible air circulation in between the wall and the bricks. On these holes, we are going to put joints fan or Fugenlüfter as they call it here. This is to prevent bees, wasps or even mouse to get-in or build their house in between the bricks and the wall.

Water Installation Day 3 (Wasseranschluss Tag 3)

Today was not a lot. The excavation team just need to close the holes and fix the streets that they opened. I thought at first that it will be the last day of their job. Our street has been closed since Monday. But, they are there still some parts that they were asked by the water company ZMW to repair in our street, therefore, they will be coming back tomorrow.
