At last! The first Preliminary Draft (erstenVorentwurf) arrived

After almost seven (7) weeks of waiting, the first preliminary draft of our dream house arrived. It has been a long wait and we are happy to finally see it. Unfortunately, there are some mistakes that we directly saw on it. There are points that we talked with our Architect that is not showing on the draft or showing differently on the draft. Some windows are not right. To know that we are only allowed to do changes on the draft three times, it is frustrating that on the first time, we are only correcting the mistakes of what we already previously planned. But since we cannot do anything about it, we will just mention the mistakes and then add our new wishes. Hubby and I need to work on it this coming weekend anyway, so we can send it back as soon as possible. I hope that, it will not take another 7 weeks for the "second and hopefully final draft" to arrive.

Good news is we have this Preliminary Draft that we need to give to the bank for loan approval purposes. Sad news is, the interest rate is going straight up. It would be best if we had the Preliminary draft after three or four weeks (which the building contrator mentioned before) then, we might have the lowest interest rate for our bank loan.

Time wasted...

It is frustrating when you are just waiting for something for weeks and is still not arriving. Normally, ProHaus mentioned a time frame of three (3) weeks after our Architect schedule, to receive the official house plan. UNFORTUNATELY, six (6) weeks is already gone but we still did NOT receive our official house plan. I contacted the main office for several times already and all they can say is that, they received a lot of work, that ours is not yet done. There are a lot of negative effects on us because of this delay. One of it is that our financial loan is waiting for this official house plan, before they can approve it. Bad news? The interest rate for bank loan is rising. Another thing is, we only have until February 2014 for the fix price, and if they are going to treat us just like right now, I doubt that our dreamhouse will be build this year. I cannot wait until this "waiting time" will have an end.

For the time wasted, hubby and I was thinking of minor changes on the house plan. That means, another 6 weeks or even more, to wait after sending it back to them??? *Sigh* Positive energy please!!!

Sewer Rehabilitation and Sewer Connection

We met the Engineer-in-charge of the Sewer Rehabilitation from the City Hall @ 7:30am in the lot where we plan to build our dreamhouse.
This Sewer Rehabilitation was planned last year. Since they are doing one of the sewer which is located in the lot, we are taking advantage of the plan and requested for the sewer connection installation.
When we arrived this morning, the excavator vehicle is already there.

Bought the Land

Tonight, hubby and his parents talked with the Lawyer regarding the land where we will build our house. The land was originally owned by my in-laws. They are selling it to my husband for a special Price.

Architekt Termin (Architect Schedule)

Today at 9am, we met our Architect in the building lot. Then we continued our discussion and planning in our dream house. We were finished after 4 hours of discussion and sharing of ideas, about how we would like our dream house floor plan to be. I didn't even noticed the time. At this point, we just need to wait for four weeks until we will receive the official building plan. For sure there will still be some changes to be made. But I guess, that is ok since we are allowed to do it three times.

Got the Chance

During tea time, I went down to check for post and I saw a letter from WI Bank. My heart was pumping so fast, so I took the letter, went upstairs and opened it. Indeed... it is the answer of the WI Bank for our loan application. And we got a reservation for it. OMG. I cannot believe it. This is the last sign that I was waiting for. I said to myself, as well as to hubby, that we will do everything that we can, but then, if our loan will not be approved, we should just accept our faith that we will not build our dream house. But this is it! I think, this is the point of no return.

This is really a big phase of our life. It is not only that we will be going to build our dream house, but it is also a big responsibility to face (Financially). God, please help us for the BIG project ahead of us. Give us more strength, patience and faith that we will survive this long journey. Thank you so much for the sign.

It has been a week or two and still no results and no replies from all the Earthworks company. We need to know how much will it really costs, so we can decide if we will build a house with basement or not. I have been calling them for follow up and they all replied, they are working on the quotation.

Last week, I called ProHaus to verify if they received our letter and what will be the next step after that. They replied that they are presently working on it and we will receive a verification letter and a call this week regarding the Architect visit schedule.

There is also no reply and update from WiBank.

I wish and hope we will have a productive week :p
