Wall/Ceiling Insulation Part 6 (Dämmung Teil 6)
Yesterday afternoon hubby worked on the building site and started putting the ceiling insulation in our second floor. He decided to have the 240mm thick insulation materials for this part. That is originally what is needed. We were just thinking before of using 160mm thick so we can use the whole 240mm on the attic. But I think this is the best solution and then if we still have excess materials, then we will use it on the attic. We can simply add 100mm and 50mm´s or we will just simply use the 160mm that we still have. Since that is still open for discussion, we can just continue to finish what we have started.
This morning it was again my turn to work on the insulation. I finally finished the last few parts of putting the insulation materials. I am happy to see that all the ceilings in our kitchen, dining place and living room were all finished. There are only two rooms to work-on in the first floor... and that is the WC and the Guest/Work Room.

Kitchen Shopping (Küchenplanung)
Last Saturday we went to kitchen stores to check on our future kitchen. We thought we can already have a talk with a kitchen sales person. Unfortunately, it was so full, that we only got a schedule... and that is today, Monday.
We arrived on the kitchen store and plan our future kitchen with a sales person using a software on the computer and also physically checking-out how the things should look like. There are a lot of kitchen styles but we already know what we want. The only big question is, if it will remain on our budget.
Kitchen is normally one of the last things that we would like to buy for our dream house. It is because we have a lot of other priorities that need to be considered. On the other hand, we need to know NOW how our kitchen will look like, since we are starting to lay the electrical cables. We would like to know where should our sockets be. That is the reason why we checked for kitchen on this early stage.
The first schedule in planning our kitchen was good but expensive. The whole kitchen was originally costing 22,850€ whoaaaa! way too much for us. They have 60% discount for the kitchen and 30% for the electronics but still not the amount we were expecting. The sales person suggested to make another plan for us and we will stay in contact.
We will definitely check on other kitchen stores and we plan to have at least 4 quotations with the same plan.
I already tried to plan our kitchen using Ikea Kitchen Plan and also saw the amount of the whole things. I am just not sure how we will do it on the corner. So that means, we still need to visit Ikea. Maybe on the next days? :) Let's see.

Base Sealing / Waterproofing Exterior Foundation Walls FINISHED! (Sockelabdichtung FERTIG!)
This day gives a lot of positive vibes. Our Base Sealing is at last FINISHED! Horaaahhhh!!!
Theoretically we can already send the postcard to ProHaus that we are ready for our klinker. But, we would like to make sure that we are indeed ready. Hubby still needs to do the faucet outside, the lighting cable should already be in place, as well as our ding-dong ha ha ha. After these things will be accomplish (hopefully next week), then we can send the postcard. I can't wait to see that our house is finally finished from the outside.

Wall/Ceiling Insulation Part 5 (Dämmung Teil 5)
Wall/Ceiling insulation is still in progress...
Since yesterday, we continued the work on the insulation of our walls and ceilings. It is not that easy, since cutting of the insulation materials takes a lot of time. Aside from that, we need to cut many times for just one part of the house. It is also uncomfortable to work with mouth/nose protection, as well as with glasses (that protects the eyes from the falling pieces of the insulation materials).
Anyway, we are almost almost done in the first floor. We are working as a team.

Wall/Ceiling Insulation Part 4 (Dämmung Teil 4)
First weekend of the year 2014 and first weekend of the month. Another batch of ceiling and wall insulation has been done. We worked on the ground floor area. It is almost done... ALMOST. I can see progress yuhuuuuu.
Hubby did the wall insulation (the wall showing on the right side on this pic).
It looks cuddlelicious ha ha ha. And the house is starting to get empty :)
Hubby did a good job almost finishing the ceiling of the kitchen area.

Solar Panel Installation Part 2
Our Heating Technician arrived today at 8:40 am. We requested him to double check on the installation of the Solar Panel because we found the mounting rails for Solar Panels in our inventory. They worked for about 40 minutes for the installation. Good thing that they agreed not to bill us with this visit and installation. It should actually be part of the installation that was done months ago.
