Good News Bad News

BAD NEWS... we, basically hubby, was not able to work at the building site for the whole week and possibly next week. He needs to work overtime and a week of nothing at the building site means the day of moving-in is also moved :( I cannot stay at the building site, since the kids have Summer Vacation at School.

GOOD NEWS... our earthworks company (after three and a half weeks of NO CALL NO E-MAIL) called us and mentioned that the rocks for the landscape will be delivered possibly this coming friday. And they planned to start the work at the beginning of August.

I have E-Mailed ProHaus for the change of our stairway color. Unfortunately, the person in-charge is on vacation and will be back on the 10th of August.

There are still A LOT of things that needed to be accomplish. As usual, the time is not on our side :(

BAD NEWS... the rocks were not delivered as the earthworks company mentioned.

Second Room Wallpaper Finish

This week is not a good week for hubby at the building site. It is because he needs to work 'til late hours. On the other hand, hubby's dad installed the wallpaper in one of the rooms at the second floor. I went in the afternoon to help him. Aside from that I also cleaned-up at the basement area and applied the Ceresit CT17 on the floor.

Basement Floor Primer

It is not easy about the time right now. Our kids has Summer Vacation from Kindergarten. Meaning they are both the whole day at home. To make the story short, I need to stay home the whole day too. My spare time of helping a little bit at the building site is at the moment minimized.

Though this is how it is right now, I was able to still go to the building site yesterday afternoon. I was able to clean-up the basement floor at laundry area and then applied the floor primer.

Gallery Area Preparation

Hubby has a hard week behind and ahead of him at work. He drives daily to and from the office (210 km). He was totally tired when he arrives home. Though the whole past week was very tiring for him, he still managed to work at the building site and finish a lot of things. He was able to apply the Ceresit CT17 on the Gallery walls and painted it with the wall/ceiling primer. Yesterday, he worked with his dad and then I helped him the next day. It was a productive weekend. We still have a lot of things needed to accomplish and there are still a lot of things open.

First Room Almost Finish

Today hubby and his dad worked together at the building site. To make the work faster, they both have different assignments. Hubby worked on our lobby area and his dad put the wallpaper in the rooms. Hubby's dad finished putting the wallpaper in one of the rooms at the second floor. It still needs to be painted but it looks really different now.

I passed-by for an hour today to cut some foil at the sides of the windows before the wallpaper will be installed.

For the last weeks hubby already prepared this first room. I helped cleaned-up and he then applied the Ceresit CT17 on the floor.

NOW... It is ready for our chosen paint ;)

Landscape Plan FAILED!

After meeting our earthworks company (from the last post), we are STILL waiting for more than two weeks now. Unfortunately they did not arrive, no excavator machines, no big rocks delivery and most of all...no phone calls or update. I personally feel very frustrated. I thought this part of our house building will be at least going forward. But guess what? I think we really have some kind of a bad luck. In every plan, there is always trials and we are still NOT MOVING FORWARD AT ALL.

I am starting to lose my hope of really moving-in to this house this year. So... another winter season full of flu and frustrations --- WELCOME!!!

Summer, Shopping, Stress

Good news! We are shopping some materials for the house like the wall paper, the floorings and the like. Before deciding to build a house, I always dream of these days to come. My idea of home shopping is a fun experience, where you can simply expand your imagination of how you would like your house to be decorated or at least how it will look like (when finished). Exchanging ideas and suggestions with your partner and then ending-up in a decision. I was taken-a-back that shopping for the house is NO FUN at all. It is just pure STRESS. I think I overrated it.

SUMMER. This is the hottest summer that I have ever experience here. We have 39 deg Celsius. That is actually a normal temperature for me because I grow-up in a tropical country. But it seems like this hot weather is making people around impatient.

SHOPPING. As I said awhile ago, we shopped for some materials for the house.

STRESS. Something that I hate to have in my life. But it keeps on coming back on me.
